Leanne M. Miller counsels individuals and families through life changing events that at times may be emotionally challenging and require legal representation. She concentrates her practice in the areas of family law, estate planning and administration, elder law and bankruptcy.
In her family law practice, Leanne advises individuals and couples in a wide range of family matters including adoption, divorce, child custody and support.
Understanding the importance of planning for the future, Leanne assists individuals in the many aspects of estate planning from drawing up a simple will to setting up a trust. She prepares plans to care for and protect your loved ones at the same time minimizing taxes, probate and other administrative expenses. As an elder law attorney she speaks frequently on Medicaid and counsels individuals on ways to reduce assets in order for one spouse to qualify for benefits while preserving assets for the surviving spouse.
In this economic climate many individuals are struggling to manage their day-to-day finances. Everyone’s financial situation is different, Leanne will advise you as to your options and will look at restructuring your debt or filing for bankruptcy.
Prior to joining the firm, Leanne was a professor at PennState University, York campus, where she taught chemistry. She received her B.S. from Shippensburg University with a major in chemistry and went on to receive her Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Notre Dame. She completed her J.D. from Widener University School of Law in 2008.
Leanne is a member of the York County Bar Association and the Herbert B. Cohn Inn of Courts. She is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania.
